Annual Blood User Group Meeting November 2008
In November 2008 MSoft held its first annual Blood User Group meeting; this was a good opportunity for MSoft's Blood Tracking Customers to meet and discuss the future design of the blood tracking software. The day consisted of:
- Guest speakers from various NHS Trusts around the UK
- Breakout workshop sessions
- Live Demonstrations
- Chance to meet MSoft Medical Tracking Development Team
- Discuss future developments
Following on from the success of the day MSoft received the following feedback from attendees:
Did you think the user group meeting was a good use of time?
- Very Useful. Good to meet other users and hear about the system. Really good round the table discussion.

- Excellent use of time, especially enjoyed talks from Cheltenham & Gloucester Hospital.

Please provide feedback or anything else you think we should include next year.
- Same format for next year, maybe longer.
- None
- The box on feedback questions is too big. Good format meeting, nice to meet other users, same format for next year.
- Similar format will be fine
- Everything was good, maybe a more tropical location next time i.e. Maldives..............
- More of the same (perhaps hosted in Miami next time)
- Look into email forum group for MSoft users to exchange ideas, problems, solutions etc
- More time for discussions
- Include a progress report of this year's proposal
- Post meeting feedback, list of delegates attending so we know target audiences attending.
- More time to discuss developments and priorities, use all pm for this. Get users to chair the agenda.
- Trust to be gained from users sharing their experiences and building on them.
- Should blood tracking have a product name.
MSoft's Martin Blake says "In 2008 our inaugural user group meeting was a massive success; the feedback from everyone was extremely positive and together we agreed development priorities for the next 12 months".
